Please call Melham Medical Center at 308-872-4125 before arriving at the facility to be screened for any Covid-19 symptoms. Patients presenting to our facility should also expect to be screened verbally for symptoms and risk factors of Covid-19. Patients may also be asked to wear a mask.


Entering the Facility and Visitor Restrictions

As of March 7, 2020, Melham Medical Center is not allowing visitors at this time. We are taking precautionary action to protect our patients, visitors, and staff from illness. Only those who are vital to the care of a patient will be allowed into the facility after they have also been through the screening process. All entrances will be locked and patients will be asked to come through the south ER Entrance where you will be screened at the door prior to entering the facility.

If you are exhibiting any of the following signs we ask that you do not visit our facility unless it is a medical emergency.

1.Fever greater than 100.4
2. Shortness of breath
3. Cough
4. Sore throat
5. Have been to or in areas affected by COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in the last 14 days or been around someone who
has tested positive for this virus.

Please note the Melham Medical Center emergency department is open for all medical emergencies 24/7. If you have the above symptoms please call 308-872-4125 prior to your arrival to allow staff to prepare.


Preventative Measures

1.Wash your hands often. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least
60% alcohol.
2. Cover your cough/sneeze with a tissue. Throw tissue away and clean hands as noted.
3. Don’t touch your eyes, nose, or mouth
4. Avoid close contact with sick people.
5. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces often.
6. Stay home when you are sick.
